Personal information is important
Shane Matthews (TFSA) is committed to safeguarding personal privacy.
It recognises that individuals have a right to control how their personal
information is collected and used. Providing personal information is
an act of trust and it is taken seriously. Unless given consent to
do otherwise, TFSA will only collect and use personal information as
set out below.
TFSA has developed and implemented its Global Basic Principles on Personal
Information which reflect world best practice on privacy policies. These
principles meet and exceed the requirements of the Australian privacy
legislation.
Collecting personal information
TFSA will not collect or monitor any personal information about an individual
without their consent. The only personal information collected is what
has been provided voluntarily. At any time users may monitor, change
and delete any personal information about them stored on the TFSA website.
Use of cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to a computer's
hard disk for record keeping purposes. Most web browsers are set to
accept cookies. TFSA uses cookies to save non-personally identifiable
information such as site layout settings. The cookies used to not distinguish
between or track users of the site.
Using and disclosing your personal information
Personal Information will be used for the following primary purpose:
- To provide information about current TFSA products, services and special
offers.
- To render services related to TFSA business.
- To obtain opinions or comments about TFSA products, services and special

TFSA and TFSA group companies recognise the trust with which individuals

the rights or property of TFSA, any TFSA group company, or any member

Contact by TFSA
TFSA may contact individuals using the information which was provided
in order to:
- Provide information that may be of interest about TFSA products, services
and special offers and other matters that may be of interest.
- To send newsletters.
TFSA does not send advertising information without obtaining prior consent.
If an individual receives communications from TFSA which they do not
wish to receive, they may remove their name from the database by contacting
TFSA.
Individual's right of access
Individuals have the right to review, delete and change the personal
information that may be recorded in the TFSA database. Information
may be reviewed, changed and deleted by either contacting TFSA or logging
in to the TFSA website and clicking on the 'Edit Details' button.
Storage and security of personal information
TFSA will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal
information recorded, and to keep this information accurate and up
to date. The information is stored on secure servers that are protected
in controlled facilities. TFSA employees and data processors are obliged
to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by
TFSA. However, security of communications over the Internet cannot
be guaranteed, and therefore absolute assurance that information will
be secure at all times cannot be given. TFSA will not be held responsible
for events arising from unauthorised access to personal information.
TFSA and links to other web sites
TFSA provides links to web sites outside of the TFSA site. These linked
sites are not under the control of TFSA, and TFSA is not responsible
for the conduct of companies linked to the TFSA web site.
